Miki miya was born into a very well off family. her parents, bentley and Camilla, are both very successful business owners.

her parents say she doesnt know how lucky she is, but she fires back saying she never asked for it.they wish she could be like her younger twin siblings, ena-susie and flynn miya, who listen and follow everything they are told.

at one point, she stays with a bad police officer, whos using his position of power to cover up his drug dealing; she doesn't get treated very well there.
her best friend at the time (soon to be lover), brooklyn kelly, finds out and is able to convince her own mother to come help Miki.-
miki stays with the kelly's for a short amount of time, before camilla finds out and accuses miki of running away. She ends up transfering her daughter to an alternative school, one meant for troubled children.
